Marrakech-Azilal-Oughbar pass-Aît Abbes Valley-Aït Bougmez Valley-Tighza / Azib n’Ikkis, Tarkeddit pass, Tarkeddit plateau / M’goun summit, Ifrin Aït Hammou / Ameskar Valley – Ameskar Tahtani / Alemdoune – Roses Valley – El Hot – Aznag-Hdida / Dades valley – Skoura palm grove – Ouarzazate – Tichka pass – Marrakech

Day 1 : Marrakech-Azilal-Oughbar pass-Aît Abbes Valley-Aït Bougmez Valley-Tighza / Azib n’Ikkis

Departure from Marrakech to Azilal, nice green sightseeing to enjoy on your way, lunch break on the way before getting through Oughbar pass. There are nice pictures to take with that view over the Azourki, Igoudamene and M’goun mountains summits. The road goes down after that to Aït Abbes and then to the happy valley of Aït Bougmez. The mule men will be waiting for us there in Agouti at 1750 m altitude. From there, 3hours to ride in order to arrive to Ikkis shepherd's place. Here we discover the Aït Bougmez valley, also called the Happy valley, the most beautiful and amazing Atlas villages are situated there. Aït Said and Artous villages with their very old and big nut trees. Bivouac at 2300 maltitude.

Day 2: Azib n’Ikkis(2300 m)- Tarkeddit pass(3500 m), Tarkeddit plateau(1900 m)

After we have our breakfast, we climb up a mules truck to the Tarkeddit pass, 3 hours climbing up in a cool way and then we make a break to let you enjoy the breathtaking view. The mules should be following us then we go down to the plateau where the transhumant usually set their tents, these shepherds come most of the time from Saghro and Dades regions. Dinner is served up there and then overnight under nomad tents.

Day 3 : The Tarkeddit plateau (1900 m) - M’goun summit (4068 m), Ifrin Aït Hammou (2800 m)

After getting breakfast served in the early morning as the weather can change and get stormy starting from the early afternoon, we climb up for 5 hours and get down hill for 3 hours, we are supposed to have a lunch picnic that will be carried by our cook on top of the summit, the mules will take a shortcut through a pass at 3800 m altitude. The bivouac will be set and waiting to greet you with a warm mint tea. That is where we’ll get dinner and overnight stay in the bivouac under a nomad tent.

Day 4: Ifrin Aït Hammou - Ameskar - Alemdoune – Roses Valley – El Hot – Aznag –Hdida – The Bivouac

Wake up at 8 o’clock, time to get relaxed after a quite tough climbing day. Breakfast then after leave to Ameskar Fougani in order to be in the beautiful villages all along the valley. We should not miss to enjoy some freshness of the waterfalls there, where the picnic lunch is supposed to be served, then we continue after that to Ameskar Tahtani for the bivouac camping, where we spend the night.

Day 5 : Ameskar Tahtani - Alemdoune – Roses Valley – El Hot – Aznag-Hdida – Bivouac camp

The adventure goes on after breakfast by walking along the valley and villages until Alemdoune and the Assif El Quati gorges full of oleander beautiful plants. Lunch there on the river shore, nice Kasbahs and traditional villages to enjoy during the break, we move on then after to enter the rose valley to lead us to El Hot through Aznag until Timstiguit, Aït Said after that a stop in Hadida for the night stay in the freshness of that beautiful M’goun Valley at 1600 m altitude. That’s where the trekking ended up.

Day 6 : Hdida – Rose Valley - Dades valley – Skoura palm grove – Ouarzazate – Tichka pass – Marrakech

Peaceful breakfast in the open air, departure to Marrakech through Kelaa M’gouna, we continue to Skoura palm grove to see other landscapes and other vegetation. The nice adventure goes on until Ouarzazate where lunch is supposed to be served then moves on to the red city of Marrakech.
